Scott Jones, the longtime coach of the Westlake Lady Demon Soccer Program, has resigned to spend more time with his family.

Coach Jones has built the Lady Demons into one of the most consistent soccer programs in the Southwestern Conference

In his 16 years at the helm of the Demon program, his teams have been the SWC Champions 7 times (including this season) and 7 times finished in second place.

Remarkably, his teams have also played in the district championship game in 14 of  16 seasons!

His teams are known for their Academics and 15 times they have have been awarded Adidas 1st Team All American Team Academic Honors.

Also, for 16 straight seasons, his teams have been named as one of the best teams in Ohio HS Girls soccer by receiving the All-Ohio Team Academic Award.

Individuals who played in the Lady Demon Soccer program have been honored as:

14 All Ohio Players

3 Adidas All Americans

5 SWC MVP’s

41 1st Team All SWC

His career record is currently 197-72-33 and he was named SWC Coach of the Year 7 times in his career and 3 times named as the Greater Cleveland Soccer Coaches Association Coach of the Year (including this season)!

 

Scott and his wife, Julie have two children, Ethan (5) and Emma (3).  Scott will continue to teach in the Social Studies department at Westlake High School.
