It was a whirlwind day for High Jump State Qualifier, Dom Bauer on Saturday. At 10 am, Dom and his fellow WHS graduates marched into the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State University to begin the graduation procession. Through the cooperation of all involved, Paul Wilson, principal of WHS, prior to the start of the graduation ceremony, invited Dom to walk across the stage to be able to receive his diploma and shake hands with Dr. Goggin and members of the Board of Education. Dom immediately left to drive to Jesse Owens stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University to compete in the Division I OHSAA High Jump State Championships. Dom jumped 6’2. The winner was Jason Hubbard of Miamisburg at 6’8 inches.
Dom will be attending the University of Findlay and playing Men’s Soccer for the Oilers.
