Boys Middle School Wrestling · LBMS take SWC Middle School Wrestling Championship!


 

 

On the backs of four SWC Champions and nine overall placers, the Demons of Lee Burneson Middle School held off a game Midview team to claim the snow delayed 2019 SWC Championship!

80 pounder, Brad Cerankosky got the Demons rolling in the finals with a thrilling come from behind 12-8 win over his opponent from Berea-Midpark. 86 pounder, Brogan Hartup followed that up with another come from behind win, 9-8.

Christian Rogers finished 2nd at 110 pounds dropping a tough 10-2 decision to his Avon opponent.  At 116, Matthew Durbin improved to 30-1 on the season as he pinned his opponent from Amherst in 2:58.  Jibby Assad became the 4th Demon champion as his opponent from Avon Lake Learwood was injured and forced to default.

Arrington Taylor finished 4th at 142.  Noah Khatib picked up a critical win and pin to place 3rd at 150 and surprise finalist Robbie Huber placed 2nd at 160.  Rounding out the scoring was a 4th place finishe by Mustafa Woodi at 205.
