The boys varsity cross country finished 4th at the Valley Forge Patriot Invitational behind Brecksville, Lakewood, and Brush. The Demons were led by sophomore K.J. Mueller who completed the course in 17:38, good for 8th place. Senior Colin Walsh finished in 20th in 18:09. Junior Matthew Eadie crossed the line close behind in 18:21 for 25th place. Racing to 35th and 37th place finishes were senior Lance Clemons (18:41) and junior David Daniel (18:45). Rounding out the varsity finishers were sophomore Jake Rintamaki (18:52, 40th place) and senior Eric Kronz (18:59, 44th place).
The JV team placed 3rd behind a lifetime best time from sophomore Luke Heierding, placing 7th in 18:47. Sophomore J.P. Mogyordy finished 12th in 19:12, and also running a new best time was sophomore Tyler Schmitz, placing 17th in 19:35. Junior Vivek Aslot opened his season with a 19:41, good enough for 18th place. Sophomore Ivan Tucholski completed the scoring for the Demons with a 20th place finish in 19:54.
Running new best times were sophomore Haddy Dardir (20:36), sophomore Luke Heierding (18:47), sophomore K.J. Mueller (17:38), freshman Tyler Schmitz (19:35), freshman Grant Tucholski (21:01) and freshman Yikun Zhou (20:12).
