Girls Varsity Cross Country · Girls Take 11th at Medina

Enjoying their best team time of the season, the girls had several standout performances at the Medina Cross Country Festival in taking 11th out of 29 teams.

Earning another top 20 finish, freshman standout Sydney Peer started strong to run with some of the best runners in Medina County to take 14th As a result, Sydney earned the #2 spot on the team’s Top Ten List for all time fastest individual times run at Medina.

Senior co-captain Teagan Walsh worked her way back into the race to run her best time of the season while junior Ashley Boyd just continues to impress, running her third great race in a row, this time not only setting a new personal best but also taking the #4 spot on the Top Ten List with her performance.

Also running strong, senior co-captain Ashley Butcher just continues to put in great performances as the season goes on, this time not only earning a career PR but also entering the Top Ten List, taking the 10th fastest time overall.

Running gutsy races as they prepare for the end of season conference and district schedule, senior co-captain Olivia Irwin, Jane Protos, and Alexa Higgs all enjoyed new course or career PR’s.

Also enjoying new PR’s, either course or career, included Olivia Clarke, Maeve Kilroy, Anusha Bangalore, Maria Torres, Allison Boker, Brenna McFadden, Sam Farabaugh, Eva Stipanovich, Moira McCarthy, Grace Hansen, Allison Hook, and Joanna Psarapolous.
