Director of Athletics, Tony Cipollone, announced that Erica Eyerman will take over the reins of the Demon Girls Lacrosse program, after formal Board of Education approval last night.
“It is no secret that we have been looking for a qualified coach to take over our girls lacrosse program and it has been an exhaustive search, but I feel the wait was worth it as Coach Eyerman is ready to take the reins of our growing program.” Cipollone said.
Coach Eyerman was a 4 year player at Magnificat High School. After high school, she was a member of the Baldwin Wallace University Women’s Lacrosse team for 4 years. She was named as an All OAC Honorable Mention player in 2017. She has worked as a coach for the Ohio Premier Lacrosse Club that runs out of the Force and has been a coach at the Nike Accelerate Lacrosse Camps for 4 years.
“Ever since I picked up a stick, lacrosse has continually been a passion of mine. I cannot wait to continue on with this sport by coaching and empowering other girls to reach their goals and full potential. I am very excited to be a part of the Westlake athletics community, Go Demons!” said Coach Eyerman on the new position.
There will be a team/parent meeting announced soon, stay tuned.
