Competing at the SWC JV Championships, several girls ran fantastic times as the team earned it’s best JV finish in over a decade, taking runner-up status to wrap up the JV season.
Leading the way for the team, freshman Avery Douglas ran a fantastic race, running with the eventual meet champion to not only set a new 5K PR, but to finish 2nd overall.
Alexa Higgs, Grace Baker, Olivia Clarke, and Willa McCoy all packed together, running a great team race, to both secure the 2nd place finish for the team, earn All-SWC JV status, and a help Grace to a new PR . Along the way, senior co-captain Olivia Clarke wrapped up a fantastic four year career with the team with one of her best finishes of the season.
Senior Molly Wood also wrapped up a fine season as she helped lead the group that secured the scoring for the team, as she, Maeve Kilroy, Alex Fernandez, and Grace Holmes all finished as a pack to enjoy a fine final race of the season. In doing so, senior co-captain Alex completed a great four year tenure with the team, enjoying her second best performance of the year.
Also running well and wrapping up their seasons included Christina Ware, Moira McCarthy, Eva Stipanovich, Allison Boker, and Maeve Stofko.
