Girls Track excels at Districts

Boys Lacrosse continues on in tournament

The Boys Lacrosse team will take to the road for their regional quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday night at 7 pm as they will visit Hawken.  During the regular season, the Demons defeated Hawken 12-11 in a great game at home.  All tickets will be $6 at the gate. Should the Demons win they will play

Reilly and Sedlak Qualify for Boys Track Regionals

Will Reilly placed 4th in the 110 m high hurdles this past Wednesday to qualify for the Regional Track Meet.  Also qualifying for the Westlake Boys is Mike Sedlak, placing 2nd in the pole vault competition with an impressive vault of 14’3”.  Both boys will be competing this Wednesday (5/27) at Amherst Steele High School for

Softball Ranked #4 in the State!

After capturing their 1st District Championship in school history, the Demons moved up to #4 in the final Ohio Softball Coaches Poll setting up Thursday’s Regional Semi-Final match-up between the #4 Demons and the #3 Brecksville Bees.  The game will take place at Clyde HS at 5 pm. All Region Lacrosse Teams Announced

The OHSLA announced the All Region Teams over the weekend. Two Demons were named First Team All Region as Defenseman Alex Dvorak and Long Stick Middie Hunter Solecki were named to the first team. Second Team Selections were: Attackman Nate Greenberg Middie Adam Fife Honorable Mention Selections were: Longstick Middie Trey Bialowas  

Softball Wins 1st District Title!

The Varsity Softball team defeated Avon, 2-0, to capture their first District Championship in school history.  Katie Lew pitched a 4-hit shutout with 5 strikeouts and no walks.  Caroline Hazapis smacked a single, a triple, and drove in a run for the Demons.  Danielle Dill crushed a triple, scored a run, and made another outstanding

The Varsity softball team advanced to the District Championship game with an 8-3 victory over Elyria.  Gina Campo led the way offensively, crushing 2 doubles and driving in 4 runs.  Danielle Dill singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice.  Macie Menichini also had 2 singles and an RBI.  Katie Lew pitched a complete

Craven and Michelich Advance

The doubles tandem of Cal Craven and Connor Michelich won today in the first day of the District Tennis tournament at Oberlin College and have qualified for the OHSAA State Championships to be held next week at The Ohio State University Tennis Center.  

History to Be Made Friday Night!

This Friday Night, history will be made as the Demon Lacrosse team will host Avon Lake in an OHSLA second round matchup at Lou Duchez Field on the campus of Westlake High School.  This marks the first time in history that lacrosse will be played at the WHS stadium as typcially they play their games

#8 Demons take on #5 Pioneers in District Semis

The #8 state ranked Lady Demons will take on the #5 ranked Elyria Pioneers today in the OHSAA district semi final game at Avon Lake HS.  The game is at 4 pm and there is admission charge of 6$ for adults and $4 for students.  No passes and no senior citizen discounts are available.
