The Westlake freshman boys basketball team won on the road last night in a thrilling victory at North Ridgeville 56-53.
The teams traded buckets the entire game, and Westlake was down by 1 point with 13 seconds left. Julian Coleman drove to the basket, scored and drew a foul for a 3 point play to give the Demons the lead. North Ridgeville missed 2 key free throws and then sent Coleman back to the line with 10 seconds left to seal the victory. Overall, great team effort for the win!
The Demons are 6-6 (4-4 conference) and play at home this Friday in a conference game against Amherst. Tipoff is at 4:30pm.
