The Westlake Boys JV Basketball team beat conference foe North Olmsted tonight 65-39.

The Demons started out strong with a bucket by Jack Klessel followed by a shot by Michael Stenger and never looked back. Basheer Alramahi caught fire and scored 7 points this quarter as the Demons took a commanding 19-4 lead.

Westlake’s defense was relentless and held the Eagles to just 8 points to take a 29-12 lead into halftime.

The Demons did not back down in the second half and continued to control the game taking the series this season 2-0 with a victory tonight.

Adonis Shelby led the team in scoring with 11 points, followed by Julian Coleman and Klessel with 9, Alramahi 7, Greyson Elyaderani 6, Tim Rence and Stenger scored 5 points each, Joshua Bauer and Nicholas Chalkias both scored 4, Steven Hotz 3 and Jacob Miller chipped in 2.

Westlake is 6-7 (5-5 conference) and play at Olmsted Falls on Friday, January 24.
