The Westlake Boys team finished 4th in the second half of the SWC Bowling Tournament, held today at Buckeye Lanes. The Demons posted a total score of 3,410, a huge improvement over their showing in December’s Eagle Challenge, which constituted the first half of the SWC Tournament. The team was led by freshman Andrew Bodi (201, 145, 193), sophomore Vinny Corrado (141, 186, 177) and sophomore Kevin Mayle (158, 168, 168). Also contributing were junior Mitch Cusick (156, 174), sophomore Nick Mayle (153) and junior Matt Eppele (189).
Westlake’s strong showing today allowed them to move up from 7th after the Eagle Challenge to 5th place overall with a weighted composite score of 3,308. North Olmsted captured the SWC title with a composite score of 3,575.
Next up for the Demons is the OHSAA Sectional Tournament, to be held February 18th at Buckeye Lanes.
