The Rangers defeated the Demons, 40-24.
George Coakley got the Demons on the board first with a 22 yard FG after the Rangers took a failed onside opening kick in for a score and it was 7-3 with 11:35 left in the first half.
The Rangers got a 39 yard TD run but missed the extra point to take a 13-3 lead with 9 minutes left in the first half and then got the benefit of a controversial call that resulted in a fumble return for another TD and took a 20-3 halftime lead.
The Demons came out fired up in the second half and took the opening kickoff on a nice drive capped off by a Mackey Keenan 3 yard run but the extra point was blocked and it was 20-9 Rangers still leading. The Rangers answered back quickly with a TD of their own and added another before the quarter was over to take a 33-9 lead into the fourth quarter.
A pair of Keenan to Dylan Bednar TD passes of 38 and 44 yards and a 2 point conversion pass to Will Ostrowski were not enough as the Demons fell to 3-4 on the season with a 40-24 loss.
As of tonight the Demons do not have a game next week and will return to action on October 29th with a Thursday night 7 pm game at historic Byers Field as they will take on Parma. The schedule is subject to change so stay tuned.
