The WHS Girls Varsity team wrapped up their bowling season with a strong showing at the State District Tournament at Roseland Lanes, but it wasn’t enough to qualify for the State finals this year. They rolled their 2nd best series of the year, 230 pins higher than their Sectional score, and 80 pins higher than their State qualifying score last year, but they fell about 130 pins short of the 6th place qualifier. Leading the Demons were Sophomore Taylor Hedges with a nice 518 series, and Junior Jenny Wisniewski with a nice 490 series. Wrapping up their very successful high school bowing careers were Seniors Peyton Hedges (469), Charlotte Button (431) and Eve Anitas (416). Backing up the team, but not getting a chance to compete today were Junior Emily Hyland and Sophomore Gabrielle Hansen. The Demons finish their season with a lot to be proud of – two league titles, a Conference title, and two tournament wins.
