There will be an information meeting for any boy considering playing lacrosse in the spring on Wednesday night at 7 pm in the Media Center at WHS. Fall sport athletes should consider this an optional meeting to attend and anyone who cannot attend the meeting should email Coach Stepanek at email@example.com to let him know.

Each year the Ohio High School Athletic Association rewards each member school with the following special awards for the 2016-2017 athletic seasons! The Archie Griffin Award -Named for the 2 time Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State -Given to student who display exemplary sportsmanship Male-Connor Sterneckert (Football, Baseball) Female-Noor Fahoum (Cross Country, Basketball manager, Track)
The spring sports awards ceremony will take place on Thursday evening starting at 6 pm in the Performing Arts Center. The main awards presentation is scheduled to last approximately 45 minutes followed by individual team breakout sessions at various locations throughout the high school. The Boy Lacrosse team will travel to Olentangy Orange High School for an 11 am game on Saturday, May 20th. The Demons come into the game ranked #8 in Division 1, Region 1 with a 9-7 record while the Pioneers will enter the game ranked #3 in the region with a 12-5 record. All
The Boys Lacrosse team went on the road last night and upset the Perrysburg Yellowjackets by a score of 10-9. It is the first win for the Demons in the inaugural OHSAA Boys Lacrosse Tournament. The Demons have been in the final 8 in three of the last four OHSLA tournaments. Perrysburg was ranked #6
The Demon Boys Lacrosse team opens the inaugural OHSAA Boys Lacrosse Tournament this evening as they will travel to Perrysburg High School for a 6 pm game with the Yellowjackets. All tickets are $7 and there are no student or senior rates. No passes are accepted. The field is located at: 550 E South Boundary
The Girls Varsity Lacrosse team ended their season last night suffering a 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Cardinals of Mentor in the first round of the first ever OHSAA Girls Lacrosse Tournament. The first varsity campaign for the girls was very successful as they finished the season with a .500 record of 9-9.
The OHSAA First Round Girls Lacrosse game tonight at Mentor is at 6 pm. All tickets are $7.00. There are no passes accepted and there will be no student or senior rates. Should the girls win tonight their next game would be Friday against the winner of Jackson and Boardman.
