Demons nip Shoremen, 9-8

Eric Bechtel scored the last of his 4 goals with :49 seconds left in the game to give the Demons(4-3) a 9-8 victory over the Shoremen.  In addition to his 4 goals, Bechtel also added an assist.  Also scoring goals for the Demons were: Nate Greenberg(3), Adam Fife, and Chris Humer.  Mark Iceman chipped in

Demons fall to powerhouse Hudson, 14-1

The Westlake Lacrosse team fell to state powerhouse Hudson, 14-1.  The Demons will open their home season on Saturday against division rival, Benedictine with 1 pm JV game followed by the 3 pm varsity game.  All games are played at Read Field.

Both Bechtel’s make history

On Tuesday, April 7th, brothers Jake Bechtel and Eric Bechtel made history on their respective lacrosse fields!  Eric, a freshman at WHS, scored his first ever varsity goal against Western Reserve Academy and Jake a freshman at Adams State University in Colorado (Division 2), scored his first ever collegiate goal against Lindenwood University.

Demons LAX downed by WRA, 14-3

The Westlake Demon’s Boys Lacrosse team traveled to Hudson to take on Western Reserve Academy last night.  Chris Humer had a goal and an assist on the first ever goal by Eric Bechtel and Ryan Sandor added one but the Demons fell to WRA, 14-3.

Boys Lacrosse loses Opener, 10-4

The Demon Lacrosse team opened their season with a tough road loss to St. Francis of Toledo, 10-4.  Adam Fife and Nate Greenberg each had 2 goals.  The Demons will travel to St. Ed’s tonight for a 7:30 pm game.
