Westlake beats Hudson 3-2

Westlake won their first match of the season in dramatic fashion.  Kenan Dinchman and Avi Kirpekar won the deciding match 6-1, 7-6 with the score tied 2-2 in matches.  Also winning for the Demons at 1st singles Aris Jhaveri 6-0, 6-0 and at 2nd doubles Darin O’Meara and Eddie Schartman 6-2, 6-3.  The Demons are

The boys tennis tandem of Cal Craven and Connor Michelich took another step towards history yesterday afternoon as they defeated the team from Mason, 6-3,6-3 in the first round of the OHSAA Division 1 Boys Double Tournament and then upset the team from Toledo St. John’s which included half of last seasons state runnerup team,

Craven and Michelich win first at OHSAA tourney

Cal Craven and Connor Michelich won their first round match in the OHSAA Division 1 Doubles State Tournament this afternoon.  Craven and Michelich defeated the doubles team from Mason in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.  They will now take on the doubles team from Toledo St. John’s Jesuit later this afternoon.  One member of that team

The doubles tandem of Cal Craven and Connor Michelich won today in the first day of the District Tennis tournament at Oberlin College and have qualified for the OHSAA State Championships to be held next week at The Ohio State University Tennis Center.

First day of Sectionals went well for Westlake.  Connor Michelich and Cal Craven easily won their three matches today to move into the Semi-Finals and qualified for Districts.  They play at 3:30 on Thursday.  Aris Jhaveri and Nick Button  are in the Quarter-Finals.  Nick plays #2 seed Nico Mostardi (Avon) and Aris will play Josh Hsia (St
